Coronavirus update

How we’re making coach travel safer

As we start to think about travelling by coach again, we wanted to let you know that the way we will be operating will be different to before – however, we promise you that we will do all we possibly can to ensure your safety on board our coach excursions.

We’re looking forward to welcoming you back on board soon. Keeping our customers and colleagues safe is our top priority and we’ve been busy doing everything we can to put additional measures in place on board our coaches to make you feel safe and comfortable when you take your next trip.

The following measures will be implemented.

1.Hand sanitiser
Hand sanitiser stations will be available on coaches for customer use as you board. If you can, please bring hand sanitiser gel for use during your journey.

2.Face coverings
Government guidance recommends the wearing of a face covering or mask when travelling on coaches. This is mandatory in England. To minimise the spread of the virus you will be required to wear a face mask or face covering on board the coach. We will have a small number disposable face masks available to purchase if you should forget to bring one or your current mask/face covering becomes damaged.

3. Concerns whilst travelling
If you have any concerns during your journey please make contact with the courier on board.

4. Enhanced cleaning
Regular aerosol based disinfection with a high performance antiviral solution, sometimes called ‘fogging’ will be in place. Key touch points including handrails, armrests, seat belts and toilets will be cleaned regularly using a high performance antiviral cleaning solution.

5. Air filtration system
We are in the process of fitting an additional filter to our coaches which cleans and disinfects whilst passengers are on board.
The eco3 purifier neutralises and eliminates biological air pollutants and germs including bacterias, viruses and airborne irritants like pollen, dust and mould allergens, thereby reducing the risk of infection, illness and disease from airborne transmission.
These will be installed to the air conditioning systems of our coaches.

6. Toilets
On board toilets will remain open and will be cleaned regularly using fogging and antiviral solutions.

7. Boarding process
Please be patient, customers will fill coaches from the back and empty from the front. Where safe to do so, we shall also use the continental door for boarding and disembarking.

8. Drinks service
We will temporarily suspend our drinks service on board so please feel free to bring your own drinks with you .

9. Temperature screening
Prior to boarding the coach, the courier may take your temperature using a contactless infrared thermometer. A high temperature is one of the main symptoms of Covid-19.
You may be refused travel if you provide a temperature reading of 38C or higher, or if you refuse to have your temperature taken.

10. Social distancing
We will be guided by current Government advice & recommendations from the Confederation of Passenger Transport  (CPT) with regards to social distancing measures.

11. Driver safety
All of our drivers have been provided with protective equipment including masks, gloves and hand sanitiser.

These measures have been bought in for your safety and for the safety of other passengers on board.  We would respectfully request that you observe this advice when travelling with us.

Please do not travel if you are experiencing any Coronavirus symptoms. These include a high temperature, a new continuous cough, or loss/ change to your sense of smell or taste. Please ensure if you are feeling unwell, you call us ahead of your trip, on 01245 477326.

At this difficult time, we would personally like to thank all our customers for their support, patience and understanding.
